Last week, the Agricultural Attaché of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ukraine, Mr. Ansgar Aschfalk, gained an insight into the successful work of the German-Ukrainian Expert Dialogue on the Sustainable Development of the Fruit and Vegetable Sector in Vinnytsia (DUALOG project) and the promotion of vocational training at agricultural colleges in Ukraine (FABU project).

Ansgar Aschfalk met with staff and operational partners from both projects in the city of Vinnytsia and in Illintsi to discuss the latest project results. The program included a meeting with representatives of the Vinnytsia Oblast administration, a visit to the Illintsi Agricultural College, and a tour of the construction site for the fruit and vegetable cold storage and warehouse. The construction of this modern facility is a strategically important step for the region. The construction, located at the Illintsi Agricultural College, is an agricultural infrastructure project funded by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity (BMLEH) that aims to create incentives for increased private investment in the fruit and vegetable sector. In the future, the facility will be used for training purposes and by farmers from the surrounding area.

The improvements in education and training initiated as part of the DUALOG and FABU projects are opening up new possibilities and opportunities for high-quality, practical agricultural training for farmers, students at agricultural educational institutions, and the population in the Vinnytsia region and beyond. The project participants expressed their sincere thanks to the German project partner for the support of these important changes in agriculture and sustainable development in Ukraine.

The DUALOG and FABU projects are part of the Bilateral Cooperation Program funded by the German Federal Ministry and are being implemented in Ukraine under the leadership of ADT Project Consulting.
