As part of the “German-Sino Cooperation Project on Animal Breeding and Husbandry in China” ADT Project Consulting GmbH is implementing the project component “Establishing a Competence Network for Climate and Environmentally Friendly Livestock Production in China”.

Part of the project component is a study tour to Germany, during which four Chinese experts visit Germany to exchange their experiences with German experts on climate- and environmentally friendly livestock husbandry and to learn more about innovative methods and technologies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

At the beginning of their four-week study tour, the experts took the opportunity of a technical discussion at the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) with Dr. Zornbach (Department 521 for Sustainability and Climate Protection, Climate Impacts) to discuss political measures to reduce emissions from livestock husbandry in Germany. This supplemented the visit at the Federal Research Institute Thünen-Institute in Braunschweig, where the experts have been introduced to the measures for collecting and evaluating climate-relevant data.

In the further course of the study tour, the expert group will continue their exchange on emission reduction in livestock husbandry in Germany and will visit additional universities, institutes and enterprises.
